Digital Project Manager, Supply Chain - 6 Month Contract (Closed)

About the Opportunity

  • Define and manage the project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with Digital Delivery team and a diverse group of Stakeholders/Vendors for a series of Supply Chain Digital Transformation projects within a manufacturing environment
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to non-technical team members and Stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle
  • Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendation reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Continuously develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
  • Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary, during project cycle
  • Effectively lead and direct internal and external project team members working within the project guidelines and Stakeholder expectations
  • Work with project support groups as needed and partner with relevant Stakeholders to prepare and deliver project updates and statuses, drive task outcomes
  • Ensure alignment and update of Exec Steering Committee, Business Process Owners, Key Subject-Matter Experts, and other organization groups
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to the appropriate personnel
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
  • Determine impact of competing activities and develop mitigation plans
  • 6-month contract position

About You

  • University degree or college diploma in Information Technology, Business, or related field of study
  • 5-7+ years of strong project management experience and a proven track record of successfully delivering results
  • Strong previous experience in Vendor management is required
  • Previous experience managing Digital Transformation projects is required
  • Previous experience managing Supply Chain Transformation projects is preferred
  • Hybrid Project Management experience with a strong background in Agile mixed with a little bit of Waterfall is required
  • Project Management Certification is preferred
  • Certifications within Supply Chain & Sales and Operations Planning Processes is preferred
  • Agile Certification (i.e. CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP, and/or SAFe Scrum Master) is preferred
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Strong problem-solving, change management, and analytical skills
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
  • Flexible during times of change
  • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
  • Ability to bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
  • Able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
