About the Company
Our client is a large Canadian company in the Service industry, and they are looking to hire a Devops Engineer.
About the Opportunity
- The Devops processes within the company are somewhat mature and tools are in place
- Currently the Dev team has been doing Devops as well, but they now need to hire a Devops Engineer to focus on this area
- We are looking for an intermediate person who had experience with Devops on Linux (they run Ubuntu) and Windows
- They have both on-prem and cloud (Azure) Linux servers, as well as Windows cloud (Azure) servers (for their ERP etc.)
- The Docker Containers are being orchestrated on Linux as well as through Azure Kubernetes
- Source code and build/release is on Azure Devops
- We are not looking for a Senior individual to lead the Devops area, all decisions are made in collaboration with Dev team, but this person will have influence on the decisions
- This role also can grow into a lead role
About You
- Experience with Devops (CI/CD build/release/automation) processes for applications running on Linux and Windows
- Azure / Windows / Linux server experience (Cloud and on-Prem)
- Kubernetes/Docker containers/orchestration
- Very good communication and presentation skills
- Commute to office twice a month
Bonus Items:
- Azure Devops source code management and build/release
- Powershell and/or Bash scripting
- Any OOP languages (eg .NET/Java/Python) etc exposure
- Ansible or Terraform (infrastructure as code)
- Azure Kubernetes, Azure API Management, Azure Application Gateway
