About the Company

Our client is a large Canadian company, and they are looking to hire a Data Architect.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for someone who is coming out of Data-focused roles with design / architecture / solutioning background

The company is currently going through a few initiatives that involve data management: ERP implementation (Microsoft D365), moving data to cloud (Azure data lake), designing, and implementing data warehousing and ETL processes (e.g., from ERP to data lake), BI/Analytics (SSRS/PowerBI/Tableau)
This position will be up to 20% hands-on with the above items (all Microsoft tools) and 80% will be working on design/architecture, defining data strategy, MDM, data quality/governance, etc
Optimally this person has gone through a cloud migration for DW and ETL in Azure
The role will be responsible for developing and implementing an overall data strategy that is in line with the client’s business processes and will help focus on data standards, quality, design of self-serve data platforms for users to perform analytics
This person must be a very good communicator/collaborator as their solutions will always involve multiple teams/vendors/business units/etc

About You

Progressive senior level Data-focused hands-on positions (ETL, DW, BI/reporting) in Microsoft environments
Experience with defining data strategy and best practices for MDM, data governance, quality and security
Experience with design/architecture of company-wide data-focused solutions

Experience migrating data to cloud (Azure data lakes preferable)
Very good communication and presentation skills

Bonus Items

MS stack - MSSQL/SSRS/PowerBI/SSAS/SSIS

Azure data tools (ADF/databricks/synapse)
Data migration/ETL/integration for MS Dynamics ERP and/or CRM

Salary Range

$130,000 - 150,000/year
