Customs/Financial Analyst - 12 Months (Closed)

About the Opportunity  

• Investigate discrepancies relating to customs import transactions by navigating multiple 
• systems and communication with internal departments and external service providers 
• Compare expected charges to actuals, record and report as required 
• Instruct customs brokerage for customs entries requiring revision 
• Maintain internal database relating to specific customs entries under investigation and 
• Revision 
• Ad hoc requests relating to Customs and Canadian Tax functions 
• Provide update to customs team and manager as needed 

About You 

• Accounting – understanding of accruals recorded and matched against actual payments 
• and refunds 
• Experience in understanding transactional documentation and sequences 
• MS Excel and MS Access 
• Enter data, sort, filter, search, basic formulas, run pre-developed queries for data 
• Transportation management system [TMS] experience is a nice to have 
• Ability to quickly adapt to new software 
• Interpersonal skills – clear concise communication, positive attitude 
• Experience with customs entries is desirable but not required. Our staff will provide training 

Hourly Rate 
$28 - $31/hour
