Cost Accountant - 18-Month Contract

About the Opportunity

  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the accounting system (Sage 300)
  • Work closely with Sales and Operations Departments to uphold BOM accuracy
  • Update and set-up inventory and non-stock items in Sage
  • Update price lists in Vendor Catalogue
  • Analyze and investigate various inventory reporting to identify quantity and cost issues
  • Adjust inventory quantities and costs to ensure accuracy of inventory accounting
  • Participate in and help lead year-end inventory counts and cycle counts
  • Maintain accurate filing system for BOM creation and changes
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to take ownership and work independently
  • Intermediate Excel skills including VLOOKUP’s and pivot table capabilities
  • Relevant education and/or demonstrated experience and capability
