Our client is one of the fastest growing private automotive groups in Canada. They are looking for a Corporate Controller reporting directly to the CFO. This is a hybrid role involving Financial reporting, FP&A, Cash management/ treasury, and Special/Ad-hoc projects

About the Opportunity

• Oversees the general accounting function, which includes financial reporting, cash management/treasury and inter-company accounting
• Working capital management and oversight including accounts receivable, accounts payable and inventory)
• Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected
• Work with executive team in KPI generation and analysis
• Review daily/weekly reporting prepared by platform Controllers
• Coordinates internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records
• Responsible for the implementation of agreed upon recommendations related based on audit findings
• Ensures that the platform accounting departments are staffed with qualified financial personnel capable of meeting the objectives and responsibilities. Responsible for continued development of these departments
• Ensures that company financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and IFRS
• Responsible for reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure compliance

About You

• CPA
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong IFRS reporting experience
• Consolidations experience
• Multi-location Retail experience an asset
• Strong working knowledge of Excel

Salary Range

$120,000 - $130,000/year
