Our client is a privately owned construction and development company. They are looking for a Corporate Controller to lead the day-to-day operations and payroll in a fast-paced construction organization.

About the Opportunity

  • Manage a team of 3 Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Administrators and train and support new staff
  • Facilitate month-end close procedures and produce monthly reporting packages
  • Assist internal and external customers with their inquiries related to Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable processes (monthly period close procedures, expenses vs. petty cash submissions, invoice batch errors solutions)
  • Review and post entries done by Accounts Payable Administrators including regular audit of payments
  • Subcontract, change order and purchase order reviews and interfacing with accounting/PM system
  • Regular reviews of job costs and job billings to ensure budgets are kept up to date and billings are done in a timely and accurate manner
  • Work with Director, Finance to report regularly on finances of constructions jobs and overhead expenses
  • Ensure Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable sub-ledgers are closed on a monthly basis in a timely and accurate manner
  • Audit bank reconciliations

About You

  • CPA or CPA In Progress
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in the commercial real estate industry
  • Experience within construction/real estate development/engineering industry
  • Strong transactional and people management experience
  • Strong communication skills

Salary Range

$100,000 - $120,000/year
