About the Opportunity

• Coordinating and preparing internal and external monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements under GAAP
• Ensure accurate accounting for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash
• Providing management with financial analyses and information vital to the decision-making process; developing and monitoring key metrics
• Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
• Maintaining internal control environment and related to documentation to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures for general accounting operations
• Setting up new systems and policies to support growth of company and assist in expansion
• Coordinating audit process and activities of external auditors
• Manages the bookkeeping function, including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
• Managing the budget process
• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
• Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
• Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
• Overseeing regulatory reporting and comply with local and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings and all other compliance manners
• Directing the daily activities and the career development of team members, including leading, hiring, coaching, and mentoring

Abut You

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA is a strong asset
• Proven working experience as a Controller
• At least 5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Experience in managing people and teams
• Strong leader with excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
• Excellent MS office (especially Excel) and enterprise accounting systems

Pay Rate

$50/hour
