Corporate Accountant - 6 Month TTP

About the Opportunity  

• Responsible for two of the following corporate accounting areas; eliminations, consolidations, fee generation, overhead cap, GST / HST, bank reconciliations and / or cash distribution 
• Review daily transactions, month end schedules and reconciliations 
• Respond to transactional accounting questions and issues 
• Prepare and record transactions to journals and General Ledger 
• Prepare internal and external reports 
• Resolve accounting discrepancies 
• Support preparation and coordination of internal / external audits 
• Liaise with other departments in regards to accounting matters 
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual internal / external reporting 
• Ad-hoc analysis / Projects as assigned 

About You   

• Accounting degree with a CPA designation or in the process of completing CPA designation 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with Advanced Excel skills 
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills 
• Minimum 3 years previous relevant experience 
• Knowledge of current accounting practices and principles (IFRS & GAAP) 
• Proven organizational skills, time management skills and ability to work with other departments 
• Proven mathematical and analytical skills 
• Initiative and the ability to work independently and also as part of a team 
• Experience with JD Edwards and/or Yardi is an asset 

Pay Rate 
$31 - $35/hour
