About the Opportunity
- Maintain the general ledger and accounting system including preparing and recording journal entries, and reconciling entries
- Record daily transaction in the accounting system and subledgers.
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations
- Participate in month end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely reporting
- Help in providing support to servicing administrator’s trust accounting group
- Review of the firm’s funds monthly Net Asset Valuation reports from the funds’ administrator
- Assist with various accounting and reporting duties as required
- Assist with annual audits of funds’ and corporate entities as required
- Preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly and annual GST filings
- Assist the Finance department with various adhoc requests
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related discipline, or professional accounting qualifications such like CPA, CA, ACCA, etc. is an asset or designation in process
- 2+ years of full cycle accounting experience
- An energetic, self starter who is disciplined, quality conscious, with rigorous attention to detail
- Committed to learning and taking ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Works well in a team environment
- Good knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Intermediate to advance excel skills with good presentation and documentation skills
- Experience in working with multiple legal entities
- Experience with audit and financial reporting requirements
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment
Salary
$75,000/year
