About the Opportunity

• Periodic and quarterly reporting including same store sales growth; the cornerstone KPI of the business
• Accrue for system sales and franchise/aggregator royalties
• Engage with various teams to perform revenue variance analysis and plan/work to improve the process thereby reducing these variances
• Prepare US MD&A and controller’s deck
• Daily cash management; oversee cash forecasting to the US team
• Review sales tax filings and oversee adhoc CRA correspondence reviews/information requests
• Prepare month end balance sheet account reconciliations and review financial statement supporting schedules
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring efficient completion of all period close functions in accordance with US GAAP
• Conduct franchise partner audits to ensure compliance and adherence to sales reporting guidelines
• Identify and lead projects to drive efficiencies within our systems ERP/process/other
• Drive continuous process improvement in all areas of financial operations and reporting
• Aid in internal control design
• Engage cross functionally on strategic projects by providing guidance, knowledge, and information to support decision making

About You

• Minimum of 2 year of finance/accounting experience
• Designated CPA or working towards their CPA
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• Highly motivated self-starter with a strong drive for continuous improvement
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask detailed projects
• Sound business acumen, strategic thinker, and analytical skills
• Strong system capabilities (ERP and Microsoft Suite); JD Edwards experience considered a plus
• Customer Maniac

Salary

$75,000 – 80,000/year
