About the Company 

Our client is a Canadian mining company looking to add a Corporate Accountant to their team. This role will be responsible for month-end close, reconciling intercompany accounts, indirect taxes, payroll & benefits, banking and budgeting for corporate expenses.

About the Opportunity

• Month-end full accounting cycle
• Duties include but not limited to: bank reconciliation, month-end journal entries, month-end account reconciliations, month-end consolidation reporting package
• Payroll review and processing
• Liaise with payroll service provider on regular basis on payroll matters
• Administrator for employee benefit.  Liaise with benefit provider on regular basis on benefit matters
• Quarterly GST/HST returns
• Annual payroll remittance reconciliation
• Compile expense reports
• Invoice processing
• Payment management
• Monthly cash flow reconciliation
• Daily monitoring of cash balance and tracking of payments
• Preparation of quarterly / annual budget / forecast
• Monthly variance analysis

About You

• CPA or CPA In Progress
• 5 years+ experience of full-cycle Accounting (month-end close, reconciliations, banking, paying bills)
• Mining industry experience is an asset
• Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills

Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000/year
