About the Opportunity

• Provide leadership to complete all external reporting
• Work closely with and coordinate work of external auditors and tax consultants. Support external tax consultants: provide information for income tax filings, transfer pricing arrangements, government grants, and financial statement disclosures
• Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including financial statement notes. Coordinating and preparing internal financial information (eg. KPIs) and external financial statements
• Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
•  Participate in drafting financial summaries that are presented to shareholders
•  Implement financial reporting processes and tools to prepare quarterly financial statements. Participate in the formalization and continuous evaluation of financial reporting systems, accounting practices and investment initiatives
• Perform technical accounting analysis on topics including stock-based compensation, business combination and more
• Review and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards, as well as make continuous improvements to financial processes
• Lead month-end close process, including reconciliations and analysis
•  Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
• Spearhead the change in ERP software and assist in rolling out the new ERP software
• Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
• Hiring, training and retraining skilled accounting staff

About You

• CPA (US or Canadian)
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and reporting experience
• Experienced manager or controller in a public company
• IFRS reporting experience

Salary Range

$130,000 - $150,000/year
