Our client is a leading company offering water management solutions in the manufacturing industry. They are currently looking for a Controller who will be responsible for assisting the CFO in managing the accounting workflow, providing accounting direction and analytical support to division management

About the Opportunity

  • Production of monthly financial reports and oversee cash flow across the multiple business units
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, annual consolidated financial reporting that is timely, accurate and usable by the business in assessing its financial position
  • Review and analyze balance sheet accounts; prepare journal entries, balance sheet adjustments and tax reconciliations
  • Evaluate monthly statements and generate financial statements to complete the monthly reporting package
  • Review and enhance the strategic direction and objectives of accounting and reporting processes, accounting policies and controls
  • Provide leadership to accounting in areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and other related functions
  • Preparation of annual audit packages, successfully liaising with auditors’ report on various audit, control and accounting issues to Senior Management
  • Assist in preparing annual property forecasts, budgets, operations and capital budgets
  • Lead/participate in all inventory cycle counts
  • Cash flow analysis and forecasting
  • Full cycle monthly accounting and production of financial statements
  • Review of staff reconciliations – A/R, A/P, Bank/Credit Cards
  • Review of account coding to G/L
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements
  • Maintain accurate accounting records including consolidated reports, general ledgers, all related processes, controls and documentation and internal accounting policies
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports including but not limited to variance reports, ration analysis, monthly and quarterly departmental and consolidated financial reports
  • Review and ensure accuracy of consolidated financial statements including income statements, balance sheets and related support schedules
  • Draft, enhance and maintain accounting procedures and policies
  • Ensure corporate accounting records meet all regulatory, statutory and tax requirements
  • Manage relationships with external financial stakeholders

About You

  • CPA, or in progress
  • 7-8 years of progressive accounting experience, 2 years of people management experience
  • Inventory related industry (ie. Manufacturing, CPG) 
  • Corporate accounting and financial management experience 
  • Experience with strategic planning, policy development and issue management 

Salary Range

Up to $120,000/year
