Our client is a leading holding company in the manufacturing industry. They are seeking a Controller to take responsibility for a variety of accounting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis duties.

About the Opportunity

• Prepare & review journal entries and reconciliations for both the Balance Sheet and Income Statement during month-end close process to ensure accuracy of results
• Assist with financial statement preparation including preparation of the Financial statement reporting package
• Provide oversight over general ledger journal postings and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
• Management of Cash Flow Process and Reporting
• Oversee the Company’s AP & AR function
• Provide analytical support to business managers to help them understand their departmental operating costs. 
• Annual & Quarterly budget preparation
• Provide support in the preparation of annual departmental cost budgets, including identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Prepare the financial statement reporting package for the two entities under your oversite.
• Ensure compliance with the financial procedures of the organization and taxation.
• Facilitate the implementation of newly issued accounting standards and requirements.
• Prepare Canadian & US Sales tax filings
• Review financial processes for cost and efficiency improvements.
• Implementation of ERP system called Odoo as first ad-hoc special project in this role
• Prepare annual audit working papers and work with the internal & external auditors
• Continuous improvement in accounting processes (i.e. reducing monthly close times)

About You

• CPA Designation or ACCA
• Experience with Full-Cycle Accounting and Internal Reporting
• Manufacturing experience and Mid-Large ERP experience
• Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to think on your feet and solve issues

Salary Range

$80,000 - $110,000/year
