About the Opportunity

• Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions
• Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data for accurate accounting
• Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
• Coordinating activities of external auditors
• Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
• Managing the budget process
• Cash flow management
• Managing payroll & related HR employee remittances
• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement
• Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
• Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
• Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
• Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
• Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff
• Managing government filings and remittances
• Managing banking Cash Management activities
• Supervise accounting staff

About You

• 5-7+ years of relevant experience in a full-cycle, corporate accounting positions
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or wholesale, trade business. (or something similar)
• People management experience 
• Experience in a small to mid-sized organization
• CPA designation is an asset
• SPIRE ERP system experience is an asset

Salary Range

$100,000 - $115,000/year
