About the Opportunity
- Direct and manage the Company’s accounting and reporting functions including the year-end audit, tax compliance and regulatory compliance requirements
- Provide accurate and timely financial information to the senior leadership team
- Maintain the Company’s accounting system and implement changes as required
- Oversees the monthly, quarterly and annual close process and seeks ways to improve the timeliness and accuracy of the close process
- Responsible for the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and schedules
- Support both the annual budgeting and rolling financial forecast process
- Maintain the Accounting system and General Ledger in accordance with ASPE
- Maintain the Accounting system’s currency management process in accordance with company policy
- Manage the external audit related activities including coordination of the annual audit
- Manage the ongoing banking activities
- Maintain documented system of Accounting Policies and Procedures and update as required
- Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Ensure timely and consistent collection of receivables by implementing control and oversight mechanisms
- Meet with internal stakeholders to gather their requirements to look for ways to deliver an enhanced customer experience
- Ensure company is in compliance with all Federal, Provincial and State tax requirements
- Responsible Payroll tax compliance
- Proactively apply best practices to daily jobs and tasks to enhance efficiency
- Work collaboratively across the organization to achieve team and company goals
About You
- CPA Designation in good standing
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- University Degree
- Experience with Public Company Reporting
- Strong computer skills, using Excel and Word
- Team player, self-motivated and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
- Ability to travel to company’s subsidiaries in the US and China
Salary Range
$90,000 - $120,000/year
