About the Company
Reporting to the CFO, the controller oversees the accounting function of the company, and is responsible for the oversight, preparation, analysis, and distribution of the company’s financial statements. This role will also act as a lead contact to provide accounting solutions and involve in process improvement and internal controls in all areas managed.

About the Opportunity

• Oversee and manage month-end and year-end financial reporting close processes
• Perform monthly GL postings and reconciliations to ensure accuracy on financial reporting and to identify and correct any unusual items
• Monitor and oversee AR and AP functions, while providing leadership and support to AP/AR staff
• Monitor cash flows, loan balances, and FX transactions
• Prepare yearend financial statements under ASPE, and act as the main contact for external auditors to compile and finalize the annual financial package in a timely manner
• Analyze and interpret balance sheet and income statement metrics and trends, and be able to communicate and provide recommendations to the senior management team
• Responsible for monthly sales tax remittances and payments, and oversight of tax compliance
• Preparation budget and forecast, annually or upon request
• Provide resolutions on accounting and/or operational issues from operations team in all required areas
• Engage in internal control process improvements, and system enhancement

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• CPA designation or equivalent
• Relevant experience in full cycle accounting in controller or finance manager role
• Experience working with direct reports and leading a team
• Ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
• A problem solver with strict attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Solid experience with ERP system
• Advanced Excel is required
