Business Analyst (Closed)

About the Company 

Our client is a large financial institution downtown Toronto, and they are looking to hire a Business Analyst for a full time position. 

About the Opportunity 

• This is an Applications Business Analyst position 

• More than half of the role will involve dealing with the business users, gathering and documenting requirements, assisting with UAT for business applications 

• The other part of the role will be providing any support necessary for the requirements - documentation, Excel/Visio artifacts, dealing with data to support the business in their requirements 

• Most of the projects this person will work on will revolve around established Applications (eg financial applications, etc.) and will deal with updates, changes, new features – all hands-on work performed by the vendors 

• There will be little Agile custom-development projects, most will be SaaS applications through vendors 

• This group acts as an internal service provider to business users (eg deal with vendors on proposed changes, etc.) 

• Any consulting/vendor-side experience is a bonus. Any financial industry exposure is nice to have 

About You 

• 5+ years of experience in a similar Business Analyst position 

• Strong experience with requirements gathering, documentation, UAT, support for Enterprise Business Applications  

• Strong experience with Excel (including pivot tables, vlookups, etc), working with data, Visio diagrams 

• Experience gathering sufficient business requirements and translate to technical solutions 

• Excellent communication skills, ability to commute downtown 5 days a week 

• Financial industry experience is a plus 

Salary Range 

$100,000/year
