Bilingual Administrative Assistant - Human Resources (Closed)

About the Opportunity

  • Communicate to employees at all levels, Human Resources policies, procedures, standards and regulations
  • Administer and educate employees of benefits and maintain a sustainable relationship with insurance providers
  • Maintain human resource and training data bases and maintain other filing systems as required
  • Ensure personnel records are up to date and accurate
  • Data entry: HRMS/Payroll system (currently Ceridian Dayforce); Benefits (currently Sunlife) and Pension (currently Canada Life)
  • Provide Payroll back up when required (Ceridian)
  • Assist with full cycle recruitment for all 3 facilities (Canada wide)
  • Provide resolutions to employee relation issues (e.g., employee complaints)
  • Oversee adequate orientation and training within the organization
  • Build and sustain beneficial relationships with employment agencies and educational institutions
  • Assist in planning and organizing staff events and recreational activities
  • Provide assistance with clerical and technical support for HR activities; including translations and occasional reception back up
  • Work with management and employees to identify training and development opportunities
  • Assist in administration of performance appraisal system and annual compensation adjustments
  • Assist Health & Safety Supervisor where required
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned

About You

  • Proficiently bilingual in written and spoken French
  • Pursuing or completed CHRP designation
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in HR required
  • Work experience in recruitment preferred
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of HRMS/Payroll systems
  • Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Good understanding of Canadian labour laws as well as provincial legislation
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English & French

Salary

$50,000 - $55,000/year
