BI Developer - 6 Month Contract (Closed)

About the Company

Our client is a residential and commercial construction company, and they are looking for a BI Developer.

About the Opportunity

• Work with the Global BI team to develop and maintain the Canada region Data Warehouse, maintaining a standard architecture across all global regions.
• Using Data Factory to create data pipelines ingesting data from various third-party tools.
• Develop and enhance current Power BI estate, bringing strong DAX skills to elevate current visualisations.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and generate data flow models before implementation.
• Knowledge of Analysis Services to create small cubes to maintain report performance, though a knowledge of Power BI Gen 2 would be beneficial.
• Our client as a team in the UK that is building a Data Warehouse which maintains standard data pulls into the WH using Power BI to create Dashboards for stakeholder reviews. You will work closely with that team.
• They will start with one Module like Health and Safety Data would take three months, then the next and the next and so on.
• Over time they may introduce another project to pull data from the Accounting System as an example so this should be kept top of mind.

About You

• College or University Degree in a related field
• Minimum 5 Years T-SQL
• Minimum 3 Years Data Factory Experience
• Minimum 3 Years Power BI
• Intermediate DAX
• Strong T-SQL Experience
• Azure SQL Database Experience
• Azure Data Lake Experience
• Azure Dev Ops Experience
• Experience working in the construction industry or using Procore would be considered an asset
• Experience with integrating enterprise applications such as Workday, Salesforce and IFS would be considered an asset
• Results driven and deadline oriented
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations/processes
• Strong problem-solving acumen
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly accurate and detail oriented
• Able to work in, and support a team environment
• Able to build effective & productive working relationships across business units
