AVP of Corporate Financial Reporting (Closed)

Our client is a leader in the insurance industry. They are looking for an AVP of Corporate Financial Reporting to oversee the investment reporting function for the organization and lead a team in executing all aspects of corporate external financial reporting.

About the Opportunity

• Manage the preparation and analysis of all aspects of external financial reporting and overseeing the corporate adoption and adherence to financial reporting standards
• Lead annual financial statement preparation process and acting as owner of all consolidated financial statements
• Oversee the research, documentation, recommendation, and implementation of accounting for acquisitions, divestitures, and complex transactions
• Establish accounting policies and standards, implement recommended policy changes, and collaborate with business partners to ensure adequate controls are in place and disclosures for issues or adoptions are documented
• Lead and engage your team to deliver strategic objectives through effective coaching and mentoring, identifying, and developing emerging talent, and fostering an innovative, collaborative, and agile culture

About You

• CPA - preference for CA
• Technical IFRS experience
• Industry experience within Insurance (P&C and/or life)
• People management experience 

Salary Range

$135,000 - $145,000/year
