About the Opportunity

• Direct Enterprise Architecture, Platform, R&D, and Development teams to create a state of the art, custom e-commerce, and web service delivery platform
• The position is an entrepreneurial mix of exceptional team management, technology ownership, ability to manage and mentor engineers, coupled with strong interface skills working with the business stakeholders
• Own the technology roadmap for the systems and responsible for delivering successful projects for these systems
• Responsible for partnership and collaboration with various cross-functional teams like product management, process, project and program management, infrastructure, operations and business teams, etc.
• Lead diverse onshore and offshore technical staff – across different continents and approximately 60 staff with 7 Directors as direct reports
• Technical leader and manager of your engineering teams, responsible for hiring, retaining, and mentoring the talent
• Mentor and coach leaders reporting to the position and all manager positions
• Responsible to plan and manage the budget for your teams and projects
• Responsible for portfolio and resource planning for your areas
• Responsible for ensuring successful execution of technical strategies, architecture guidelines and standards, by being the technical voice for architecture, analysis, and technical strategies
• Maintain strategic partnerships and drive joint initiatives with other key business stakeholders
• Monitor emerging technologies and manage current relationships with third party technology vendors
• Work closely with other senior managers in the planning and execution of business plans
• Ensure the online customer experience is effective and best-in-class

About You

• 15+ years of experience in enterprise software development
• 5+ years of proven leadership experience, coaching, developing, and engaging technology teams of 30+
• Exceptional experience delivering custom developed B2B software solutions to external clients
• Proven understanding of Agile software development and client delivery cycles
• Experience in fast-growing technology companies ($15-150M)
• Entrepreneurial mindset in private agile businesses (vs. large corporate/compliance experience)
• MarTech and/or Digital Agency experience would be an advantage
• 5+ years of extensive design and architecture experience of software solutions with external client focus
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Demonstrable presentation, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Soft Skills:
  • Self-driven, passionate leader with expertise and experience of delivering a full life cycle of architecture and engineering centered projects
  • Expert leader at delivery and execution in an agile and lean development environment
  • Ability to see potential issues and requirements ahead of time, plan, and execute them
  • Ability to balance short-term tactical decisions with long-term strategic thinking
  • Demonstrable leadership abilities in changing, ambiguous, and challenging situations

Salary

$180,000 - $220,000/year
