About the Opportunity

  • Execute and coordinate planned audit activities using an agile auditing methodology to ensure business risks identified in assigned project are properly addressed
  • Create an audit planning document for each audit managed that includes sufficient detail to leave a permanent record of the area being audited for the next audit cycle
  • Identify audit scope based on risks and controls identified
  • Perform process walkthroughs with business unit associates and documents the control environment
  • Escalate significant audit findings on a timely basis and document clear and concise finding for director review
  • Perform technical research using external and internal source material
  • Apply technology and other tools to improve the audit process and results (e.g. data mining/analytics)
  • Draft audit reports that provide a clear description of issues identified, related business impact, and proposed action plans/control enhancement opportunities
  • Lead sprint reviews and relevant management meetings, and present findings to business unit management and/or executives
  • Assist with the development of integrated audit plan
  • Provide input and recommendations for the development of the integrated audit plan

About You

  • Professional certifications (CA, CPA, CIA, CISA) is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years' of external and internal audit or audit-related experience (e.g. Risk, Compliance) is required, preferably in financial services
  • Knowledge and experience on digitalization and other emerging technologies is an asset
  • Knowledge of accounting and reporting standards and regulatory requirements (MFDA, IIROC, OSC)
  • Advanced business knowledge with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of audit practices, tools, techniques, concepts, and trends
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage team priorities and workload
  • Team player and leader who works constructively with others to achieve team goals and provide departmental thought leadership

Pay Rate

$52/hour
