About the Company
Our client is in the retail industry. They are looking for an Assistant Controller who is responsible for managing the day-to-day full cycle accounting activities including month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP and internal financial controls. This role is also responsible for ensuring that financial and sales reporting is delivered in an accurate and timely manner.

About the Opportunity

• Manage the month-end, year-end financial close process though analysis and reporting of variances to budget and forecast.
• Streamline sales and financial reports and reporting processes to deliver more efficient, effective and value-added reporting.
• Perform daily cash flow projections to ensure adequate funding of RASI daily operations and compliance with Asset Based Loan agreement.
• Managed all finance activities related to gift cards, property management, commodity tax and recycling remittances and reporting.
• Assist Financial Controller to manage activities related to banking, corporate credit card, risk management, year-end inventory count, insurance and fleet.
• Manage the capital and fixed asset processes.
• Managed all activities related to external audits of financial statements. This includes preparing working papers, financial statements and working with external auditors to clear all audit issues.
• Responsible for hiring, evaluating, developing and training direct reports.
• Other related duties as required or assigned.

About You

• CPA designation
• 5-7 years of financial accounting, reporting and variance analysis work experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial systems integration.
• Extensive experience and understanding in a retail and/or multi-unit industry and/or multi-product line environment.

Salary Range
$100,000-$105,000/year
