Our client is an insurance-tech company. They are looking for an Assistant Controller who will own the full-cycle accounting process for the Canadian division.

About the Opportunity

• Manage the month end close process
• Produce financial and performance management reporting
• Cash management and forecasting
• Revenue accounting and processing
• Broker bill management and collection
• Insurer premium collection and remittance
• Expense management and supplier payment
• Payroll processing
• Tax management support to include tax filings, HST / RST and Payroll tax remittances
• Assist in preparation and effectiveness of annual audit
• Implement best practice accounting policy, processes and controls to ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting records
• Ad hoc items as required.

About You

• CPA or near completion
• 3+ years of experience with full cycle accounting
• Experience in the insurance industry is considered an asset
• Relevant accounting experience with Canadian GAAP (ASPE)
• Microsoft Excel, and experience with ERP/software implementations are assets

Salary Range
$90,000-$97,500/year
