About the Opportunity

• Maintain the general ledger and accounting system including preparing and recording journal entries, and reconciling entries
• Record daily transaction in the accounting system and sub-ledgers
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely reporting
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations of entities
• Support the servicing administrator’s trust accounting group
• Review of the monthly Net Asset Valuation reports from the funds’ administrator
• Perform various accounting and reporting duties as required
• Work on annual audits of funds and corporate entities as required
• Review income tax returns for Corporate and Partnership entities
• Preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly and annual GST filings
• Draft financial statements for audits and regulatory submissions
• Prepare and submit regulatory submissions
• Assist with various ad-hoc requests

About You

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related discipline
• CPA, CA, or equivalent designation
• 4+ years of full cycle accounting experience
• An energetic, self-starter who is disciplined, quality conscious, with strong attention to detail
• Committed to learning and taking ownership of assigned responsibilities
• Works well in a team environment
• Intermediate to advance excel skills with good presentation and documentation skills
• Experience in working with multiple legal entities
• Experience with audit and financial reporting requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment

Pay Rate
$55/hour
