About the Opportunity
The Accounts Receivable Manager will be responsible for managing all activities in the accounts receivable function and ensures the timely collection of all payments due to the Company in accordance with applicable Company policies and procedures
- Lead, coach and develop Accounts Receivable team and provide training to new hires
- Responsible for the timeliness of cash collections, application, and processing of deductions and promotions
- Process credit applications for new customers and manage credit of existing customers
- Prepare detailed analysis of customer aging at month-end and provide commentary to management
- Work cross functionally with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams
- Prepare supporting schedules for month-end and perform balance sheet reconciliations in Reconciliation Tool Blackline
- Assist with financial analysis and other reporting requirements as needed and support management in various related ad hoc requests/projects
- Participate in various finance initiatives to streamline and improve current processes.
- Assist with audit requests and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
About You
- College Diploma or University Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field. CPA Designation an asset
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience, with 3+ in a Managerial Accounts Receivable role
- Proven people management experience with the ability to manage a large team
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
- Quick thinking, resourceful, ability to balance multiple deadlines/priorities
- Ability to collaborate with other staff/departments to problem solve and correct issues as they arise
- Detail-oriented, with strong computer skills required specifically MS Office-Excel
- Experience analyzing financial information, tracking, and reporting on key metrics
- Process oriented. Desire and proven ability to improve status quo
- Experience working in a multi-currency environment
- Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or consumer products an asset
Salary
$85,000 - $90,000/year
