About the Opportunity

• Perform month end closing activities such as analyses, journal entries and generation of reports
• Prepare account reconciliations and resolve issues and unreconciled differences
• Work closely with the business, including the stores, to resolve issues in their respective P&L
• Investigate and resolve issues that arise from store transactions
• Prepare standardized and ad hoc reports for management and the business, including stores
• Support and liaise with the external auditors in their execution of the audits
• Evaluate the existing month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes and propose improvements that result in a more efficient and effective close process

About You

• 2 years of finance or related experience is required
• University degree or equivalent in accounting, business, finance or a related field
• CPA designation or working towards a designation
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting
• Strong knowledge and understanding of financial systems. Experience with Oracle is an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and projects.
• Good detail orientation and effective communication skills

Salary

$60,000 - $70,000/year
