About the Opportunity

• Responsible for month-end and reporting up to, and including preparation and review of financial statements and variance analysis
• Assist with preparation of annual budgets, and balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations
• Month-end close responsibilities, including preparation of adjusting journal entries, accruals, variance analysis, and tax entries
• Prepare HST filings
• Prepare various internal reporting, i.e., analysis of distribution revenues and consolidated capital spend analysis against budget
• Responsible for miscellaneous billing for chargeable work, collections, and customer enquiries
• Assist with budgeting process
• Complete Statistics Canada Surveys
• Prepare year-end account analysis and working papers, provide explanations to auditors, and prepare any additional schedules as requested
• Work in compliance with all health and safety and environmental legislation, including but not limited to the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

About You

• University Degree in Business Administration or Finance (or 2-3 years’ equivalent and relevant work experience in a service business)
• CMA or CGA Designation (or enrolled in designation program)
• Great Plains experience
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and accounting software packages
• Strong relationship and team building skills
• Project leader that is innovative and engages the team to find new ways to work and advance finance functions
• Ability to creative a positive and creative environment
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks to prevent delays with key industry disruptions

Salary

$52,000 - $60,000/year
