About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Director, Finance, this position will oversee the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Collections teams to ensure timely and accurate AR collections, application of payments received to customer accounts, monitor overdue accounts and drive the implementation of AR initiatives by working effectively with internal stakeholders
- Manages all day-to-day activities of the AR and Collections teams; ensuring timely statements printing, timely cash application and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Handles and resolves customer payment related escalation issues in a timely manner
- Manages collection of aging receivables
- Reconciles AR patient sub-ledger to the GL control accounts monthly, and performs other relevant reconciliations pertaining to the receivable function and month-end deadlines
- Measures efficiency and operational effectiveness by establishing key performance indicators, reporting against established metrics monthly and/or quarterly
- Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures, policies related to AR operations
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives and projects to improve efficiencies
- Manages, coaches and mentors a team of 15 including attendance management, performance reviews, workload management, efficient and effective resource allocation and balancing workload among team members
- Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development and work outputs
- Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel action
- Other ad-hoc projects as required
About You
- Minimum of 5+ years in AR / Collections
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in supervising or managing a team
- Strong leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, multitask and function independently in a faced paced environment
- Critical thinking and interest in continuous improvement
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage changing priorities
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and time management skills
- Strong work ethic and personal integrity
- Team player who can work in a dynamic environment
Salary
$90,000/year
