About the Opportunity

• Reconcile processed work, verifying entries and comparing system reports to the balance
• Communicate with internal departments regarding vendor invoices and payment matters
• Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports, coding invoices, and recording entries
• Pay vendors and issue stop payments
• Enter wire payments and manual cheques in the system on the date payment is made
• Prepare payments for employees by verifying expense reports and requests for advances
• Responsible for ensuring credit card payments and reconciliations are processed in a timely manner
• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Maintain historical records by filing documents
• Report sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices
• Assist in the preparation of, and during, month-end closing

About You

• 1+ year experience with Accounts Payable
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized and works well under pressure
• Works well independently and as a team

Salary
50,000 – 60,000/year
