Accounts Payable Team Lead (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• The role will oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) function of our Finance team
• Expected to significantly contribute to the goal of digitalization and automation of all AP processes for timely, accurate financial reporting of AP costs and expenses
• Manage accounts payable workflow, ensure that payment processing deadlines are met
• Analyze and justify cost and expenses submitted for payment, looking for over charges from vendors and suppliers
• Work with Project and Senior Management to ensure and maintain good vendor relationships
• Analyze and validate that all vendors statements are received. Follow up with vendors urgent charges to meet billing deadlines
• Review vendor credit note report and provide information internally on steps taken to maximize credits received
• Communicate with vendors and advise of payment statuses
• Review and post invoices for processing and payment
• Responsible for all Accounts Payable assistants as needed complete check and EFT run to be presented to Controller
• Communicate and address any Accounts Payable issues
• Contribute to cost and process improvement initiatives
• Provide reporting to share with Project and Senior managers
• Maintain GL accounts related to Costs /Expenses and AP
• Produce GL Account reconciliation and analysis as required
• Cover or Support AR Lead / Payroll Lead as required

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Minimum 5 years related experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Customer service-centric; ability to build relationships with internal & external customers at all levels
• Always ensures confidentiality to the highest standard
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Strong organization, time management and prioritizing skills
• Meeting deadlines and take ownership of your work

Salary

$55,000 - $60,000/year
