About The Opportunity
- Answer Telephones / redirect calls / take messages
- Order office supplies
- Maintain office files / general files
- Administrative Support
- Admin support to management and staff
- Catalogue all appraisal, surveys, and maintain database
- MTO License renewals
- Horse and animal binders / registration of animals
- Prepare and submit Application Forms for Tax Rebates on vacant properties / units (and follow-up)
- Liaise with Property Assessment Office re: tenant verifications of rentals / correct adjustments to taxes
- Property Management:
- Receive and run credit checks and review for consideration
- Process rental applications (contact references, employer, etc.)
- Post rent from tenants into accounting system.
- Reporting of commercial income to municipal authorities
- Maintain database of all rentals
- Accounting:
- Posting of Accounts Payable invoices into QuickBooks system
- Weekly cheque runs of payables and prepare for signature, office banking
- Separating signed cheques and mailing out to vendors
- Reconcile monthly bank statements for most of companies
- Call vendors and customers re: inaccurate billings (lengthy with utilities)
- Prepare all purchase orders, maintain purchase order binder
- Yearly close-out of files / changeover files from year-to-year
About You
- 2+ years of AP/AR experience
- Administrative and/or reception exposure
- Basic Excel proficiency including spreadsheets
- Familiar with Microsoft office (including Outlook)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Experience using QuickBooks or similar software
- Experience in the legal real estate, commercial property, or leasing industry
Pay Rate
$30 - $33/hour
