About the Opportunity
- Hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating Accounts Payable staff members
- Overseeing routine department activities, such as processing transactions following accounting and tax laws and standards, maintaining the general ledger and preparing vendor account and AP reconciliation timely
- Overseeing all payment transactions such as ACH, wires, paper checks and so on to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time
- Working with the other teams to provide month-end requirements on a timely basis (expenses report approval, accruals, reports, etc.)
- Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial information to management and government agencies
- Developing, implementing, improving, and enforcing, policies and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency
- Building and maintaining relationships with employees and vendors
- Building a level of excellence related to communications with vendors
- Preparing and maintaining standard credit applications across the organization and ensuring timely credit card reconciliation
- Preparing the cash flow forecasts daily and monitoring cash by coordinating with various members of the Finance department
- Providing analysis on the cashflow forecast by keeping the CFO, VP of Finance and Corporate Controller apprised of any significant changes or updates to the cashflow forecast and knowledge of anything upcoming past the margins of the forecast
- Preparing reports on KPIs on the company’s working capital
- Formally documenting processes & procedures for the payables team for training purposes
- Ensures that systems, policies, and procedures adhere to company policies while functioning with accuracy and timeliness
- Support annual and quarterly audit
- Support monthly bank reporting
About You
- Experience - 5-8 years of relevant experience, in a similar role
- Education - Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field
- License – Valid driver’s license
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Experience managing a team
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and payroll practices
- Experience working with accounting and payroll software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High numerical aptitude
- Detail-oriented
Salary Range
$85,000 - $90,000/year
