Accounts Payable Manager - Contract (Closed)

About The Opportunity  

• Responsible for all aspects of the accounts payable function 
• Supervision and coaching of a team 
• Review AP reports, ensure accounts are paid in a timely manner taking into account cash flow requirements and ensure all reasonable discounts are taken 
• Ensuring accuracy of tax at the time of invoice processing 
• Assisting in the preparation of government remittances for Withholding Taxes, GST and QST 
• Effectively communicate and liaise with vendors and other departments to resolve all A/P inquiries and discrepancies 
• Perform quality control and ensures timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices 
• Responsible for quality and timely processing of non-Purchase Order (PO) invoices and PO based invoices 
• Ensure matching of supplier invoices to Purchase Orders and Receiving Reports. Work closely with Procurement to resolve any PO related issues 
• Ensure that accuracy and correctness of invoice elements are always checked before processing including but not limited to supplier details, address, tax calculations, currency and amounts 
• Accountable for MIS reporting related to Accounts Payable activities 

About You   

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance considered an asset 
• College diploma in Accounting, Financial Services or related field 
• Minimum 5 years of related experience required 
• Experience with GST/HST/PST in multiple provinces 
• Must be able to work quickly to produce a high-quality product 
• Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Office and ERP systems (i.e. Workday is a plus) 

Pay Rate  

$40 - $45/hour
