About the Opportunity

• Weekly processing and review of invoices in two systems: JDEdwards and Coupa
• Follow up with suppliers on invoices, credits and payments
• Work with the Treasury group to communicate mid week payables estimate
• Process weekly payment runs for EFTs, Cheques, Bill Payments and Wires for four legal entities in JD Edwards
• Generate the positive pay cheque files and submit to the bank portals
• Research & resolve failed payments or failed bank files
• Generate the supplier remittance files. Respond to missed supplier notifications
• Set up bank templates for bill payments and international wires
• Enter the manual payments in JD Edwards
• Generate the cashed and outstanding cheque reports for 5 payment runs
• Generate & reconcile the Received Not Vouchered reports for approximately 7 GL accounts
• Generate and reconcile the AP Trade reports for approximately 7 GL accounts
• Generate and reconcile the AP Freight report for invoices processed in Toronto
• Prepare the AP invoice accruals
• Enter intercompany and reconciling journals related to Accounts Payable
• Research & resolve past due or reconciling items on the various AP reports

About You

• Bachelor's degree or college diploma in accounting, business accounting, or finance
• 2-5 years of experience in accounts payable
• Experience with Coupa and JDEdwards is considered a strong asset
• Knowledge of basic accounting debit and credit, journal entries etc
• Understanding of Microsoft Excel and experience with other Microsoft Office products
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced and challenging environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary

$65,000/year
