Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting of the organization in a high volume, transactional environment. The candidate will be responsible for the majority of the accounting related tasks including AR, AP, and full cycle accounting including payroll and HST remittances

About the Opportunity

  • Regular Service Billing Run Process- New Customers- start date on going through month
  • Monthly Customer Bill Run - Regular Service Billing run for all Customers 1st working day in month
  • Supply Invoicing – Do daily invoice for Customer / Franchisees
  • Email Customer supply orders – Monitor and email request for all customer supplies
  • Month End Payment Franchisee– Franchisee Statements (payment for Franchisee- Deposit 30th of every month) File to Colin by 23rd of every month)- Statements email day before deposit
  • Maintain Franchisee “Plan Amounts/Business Owed – Reconcile as required
  • Month End Pre-Authorized - Customer payment file. payment 31st or last day of Month File to Colin by 23th of every month
  • Payroll- Staff Payroll (Bi-Weekly), Commissions and bonuses
  • Franchisee Upgrade - Done as soon as Franchisee receive a customer or a rate increase on plan
  • Monitor all Franchisee Loans- Set up in Masterview and record in QuickBooks.
  • Deposit of Cheques (Remote Deposit Capture, TD & RBC) – done Daily
  • Reconcile Bank Accounts Monthly.
  • Lease payments on Franchisee Janitorial Equipment – Prepare paperwork for any leases on machines. Update loan in QuickBooks and Masterview
  • Input all Credit Card charges/ reconcile to statement
  • Issue cheque 1st and 15th Month for all Accounts Payables
  • Government Remittance- 15th Payroll- 30th HST and WSIB
  • Customer Accounts Receivable Collections & Account reconciliations
  • Any intercompany Journal Entries
  • Prepare year end financials for Accountant, Year End Journal Entry and Financial Reporting
  • Cash Flow Management
  • Inventory Management
  • Process T4 slips for employees
  • Prepare ACH files – Credit Franchisees/Debit Customers + Payroll

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Minimum 5 years related experience
  • Customer service-centric; ability to build relationships with internal & external customers at all levels
  • Always ensures confidentiality to the highest standard
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization, time management and prioritizing skills
  • Meeting deadlines and take ownership of your work


$60,000 -$70,000/year
