Our client is a large retailer with stores located across Canada. This private company is looking to add an Accounting Manager to their finance team to be responsible for financial reporting and budgeting/forecasting/analysis.

About the Opportunity

• Review monthly journal entries during month-end close process to ensure accuracy of month end results
• Ensure the timely completion and accuracy of general ledger account reconciliations monthly or quarterly
• Design, prepare and/or review monthly and quarterly financial statements and management reports
• Prepare and/or review audit schedules as required during annual audit, working with external auditors on requirements
• Responsible for annual impairment analysis
• Work with the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Treasury teams to ensure proper cash application and reporting of cash related transactions
• Prepare monthly forecasts and present to management
• Manage tax filing and calculations for financial statement purposes

About You

• CPA, CA with public accounting experience
• Minimum 5 years of related accounting experience
• IFRS Experience
• Advanced excel skills
• Experience managing and supervising
• Some exposure to tax
• Retail/CPG, manufacturing industry experience

Salary Range

$90,000 - $100,000/year
