About the Opportunity

Manage the preparation and filing of sales tax returns (GST/HST/QST) and associated accounting entries
Oversee the maintenance of AMEX cards and the Concur reimbursement platform for company employees
Execute weekly payments via banking platforms and perform monthly cash flow forecasts while reconciling intercompany accounts
Participate in audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits and assist in the annual tax filing process.
Aid in updating budgets in SAP and support the Head of Accounting and Reporting with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Conduct month-end closing procedures utilizing SAP, focusing on the FICO and COPA modules, perform variance analysis on operating expenses, and reconcile affiliate accounts for intercompany confirmations
Generate monthly reports, monitor financial performance against budgets, and manage monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare adjusting entries, process accruals and journal entries, and manage monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Coordinate with the Business Service Centre to ensure proper processing and reconciliation of accounts receivable and accounts payable
Perform monthly bank reconciliations prior to monthly closing, process monthly cross charges to other group affiliates, handle monthly corporate tax installments, and conduct monthly reconciliations, including P-card purchases, cell phone/GPS usage, and fleet charges

About You

Minimum 6 months of full-cycle Accounting Experience, minimum with AP/AR, bank and account reconciliations, and supporting with period-end close
Actively pursuing CPA
Canadian post-secondary education degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High proficiency with MS Excel is require (Pivot Tables, Vlookups)
Experience with SAP or a large ERP system
Experience supporting system implementations would be considered a strong asset
Experience working in a large/global company is strongly desired

Salary Range
$56,000 - $60,000/year
