Accounting Analyst (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Ensures accurate and timely completion of month-end close and preparation of reconciliations including bank, credit card, accounts payable, inventory, revenue; completion of prepaid expenses, deposits, fixed assets, and general journal entries
• Maintains up-to-date accounting of day-to-day clinic expenses and reimbursements in an organized and effective manner, reconciling vendor accounts and processing payments
• Proactively collaborates with clinic managers from operations to resolve variances and troubleshoot discrepancies in sales, deposits, and inventory
• Supports implementation of new ERP including maintenance of data integrity and making suggestions for system / process improvements and integrations
• Assists in new clinic integration including coordinating transition of vendors and payments, obtaining relevant contracts and switching ownership of accounts, validating opening balances (inventory, fixed assets, deferred revenue), setup of sales reconciliations & payment terminals & deposit processes
• Executes recommendations of Director & CFO for remediations to internal controls and supports ad- hoc finance requests (executive and investor reporting, bank compliance)
• Independently coordinates delivery of external auditor requests and takes initiative to close outstanding issues

About You

• Bachelor’s in accounting or certificate equivalent
• CPA in-progress
• 3+ years of full-cycle accounting and/or audit experience
• Exposure to all areas of balance sheet, profit & loss
• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (ERP) favourable asset
• Familiarity with QuickBooks/Sage, or other major ERP’s
