About the Opportunity
- Maintain detailed, accurate records for all trading activity at all brokerages across all entities in the portfolio
- Calculation of all investment and trading profits and losses
- Record and update company records with all investments made
- Daily tracking of all conversions processed, to ensure investment balances are up-to-date
- Reconciliation of all stock inventory positions on a monthly basis
- Accurately record journal entries for all transactions for all legal entities in Quickbooks
- Calculation of any foreign exchange gains and losses
- Record and reconcile all intercompany loan balances
- Preparation of the Weekly Management Report package
- Preparation of regular mark-to-market gain/loss reports for all legal entities
- Assist in the preparation of all supporting schedules for the preparation of all domestic and international tax returns
- Record journal entries and prepare all necessary documentation for loan loss provisions
- Assist with the preparation of 1099s, 1042s, and any other tax forms the companies may be required to issue
- Preparation of daily cash position report
- Monthly bank account reconciliations for all company cash and brokerage accounts
- Process and monitor all transactions at the banks and brokerages for proper cash settlements, and investment funding
- Perform cash flow analysis as required
- Administer bank wire instructions
- Maintain banking instructions, and ensure all bank details and records are kept up-to-date
- Assist with the preparation of compliance documents for new account openings
About You
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting
- Professional Accounting Designation, or enrolled in the CPA PEP program or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience with investment accounting is a strong asset, recording journal entries
- Advanced Excel skills (comfortable with pivot tables)
- Attention to detail and self-starter are essential traits
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Pay Rate
$30 - $32/hour
