About the Opportunity

Full-cycle accounting for operations and investment companies
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation, record month-end journal entries, and perform other monthly general ledger reconciliations in SAP
Preparation of investment activity schedule, calculate realized/unrealized foreign exchange, and reconcile investment book value to broker statements
Monthly financial backup duties and maintain strong record keeping
Preparation of year-end reconciliation working papers and T2 corporate tax returns
Assist with ad hoc requests from family members

About You

Post secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Tax or Finance
Minimum 2 years of accounting/finance experience
Experience with the full cycle of accounting, ideally exposure to both operational
Excellent time management and organization skills, ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and multiple priorities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Intermediate level of Excel required (functions, Pivot Table, SAP add-in features)
Professional and discrete demeanor to deal with confidential and sensitive issues
Accepts ownership and accountability and possesses a high level of integrity
Team player and fast learner with a positive 'can do' attitude to objectives and challenges
Experience with SAP or large ERPs
Experience with SharePoint and TaxPrep T1/T2/T3 an asset

Pay Rate
$35/hour
