Accountant - 3 Month Contract (Closed)

About the Opportunity 

• The successful incumbent shall ensure high standards of accuracy are maintained 
• Meet with the Controller on a regular basis to provide updates on work flow 
• Ensure month end and quarter end processes are completed within the established deadlines 
• Ensure quality control of payables, receivables and journal entries 
• Reconcile GL accounts 
• Assist with the development of strategies that minimize operational risk 
• Prepare and present various reports and assist auditors as needed 

About You 

• College diploma in Accounting (or related field) preferred  
• 3-5 years of related accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
• Sound knowledge of Accounting Software 
• Sound computer knowledge with Word and Excel (including a solid understanding of VLOOKUP and pivot tables) 
• Excellent accuracy and organizational skills 
• Detail oriented and able to meet tight deadlines 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong editing and proofing skills 

Pay Rate 

$23 - $26/hour
