Our Finance team is looking for an Accountant to join our team. In this role you will prepare regular monthly and ad-hoc journal entries for responsible business units. This also includes assisting in the preparation of consolidated internal and external financial statements. In this role you will reconcile complex balance sheet accounts e.g. high volume, routine transactions or low volume, non-routine transactions and investigate discrepancies

About the Opportunity

• Assist in reviewing significant variances from budget to actual
• Prepare and file regulatory reporting requirements, as necessary
• Assist in certain special projects as part of the Company’s continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform monthly and ad-hoc reports and analysis for finance and other departments
• Support in the implementation of new accounting standards/pronouncements within CCG
• Support the finance department with preparing accounting memos and drafting new accounting policies and updating / reviewing existing policies

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Pursuing CPA designation (typically has passed CPA exams and acquiring work experience component)
• Knowledge of IFRS and other local applicable accounting standards
• Strong understanding of accounting systems
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and meet multiple tight deadlines

Salary

$65,000 - $70,000/year
