About the Opportunity

• Accounting: Prepares the year end accounting files and financial statements for a portfolio of companies
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Coordinates with external and internal clients concerning accounting and reporting issues
• Provides financial statement analysis and cash flow planning
• Reviews legal documents to ensure all transactions have been recorded correctly
• Tax: Prepares quarterly income estimates for principals to determine installments where necessary, in coordinating with the internal tax group
• Prepares the year-end tax files for principals
• Prepares corporate tax returns and ensures compliances with various government regulatory bodies
• Reviews, investigates and reconciles variances between taxes filed and assessed
• Helps execute various corporate tax plans in coordinating with the internal tax group
• Other: Helps improve financial systems to provide the required financial information in the most efficient manner
• Specifically during the contract period, candidate will assist in the following:
• Developing and implementing accounting software migration
• Creating financial models which details asset mix of principals
• Assessing processes around bookkeeping and accounting of marketable securities
• 3-month contract position with potential to become permanent full-time

About You

• CPA (CA/CGA) preferred
• Strong financial accounting knowledge and experience is a must
• Strong tax knowledge and experience is a must (T2 & T1)
• Proficient with QuickBooks, Caseware, Excel and TaxPrep tax software
• Strong interpersonal skills

Pay Rate

$35/hour
