Accountant - 2 Month Contract (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings of general ledger in accordance with US GAAP ensuring deadlines are achieved
• Prepare and review assigned journal entries associated with the monthly close process (AP, AR, payroll)
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and review work-papers and variance analyses
• Prepare and review schedules pursuant to lease agreements and amortization schedules
• Ensure the accuracy, usefulness and timeliness of financial statements provided to management and external auditors
• Assist with and oversee special projects and requests as needed

About You

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field
• CPA designation is an asset
• 2-4 years’ accounting experience, with at least 2 years of experience as an accountant or related role, preferred
• Solid understanding of US GAAP/IFRS and general accounting in a public company environment
• Experience with SAP Business 1
• Experience in AR, AP, payroll
• Proven ability to timely and accurately meet daily, monthly, and quarterly deliverables
• Strong communication (verbal and written)
• Advanced level Excel skills

Pay Rate

$34/hour
