Acccounts Payable Supervisor - 6 months temp to perm (Closed)

About The Opportunity 

• Lead & develop junior Accounts Payable team while developing and implementing best practices 
• Analyze aged payables and ensure subledger is accurate 
• Analyze supplier accounts and ensure suppliers are paid accordingly 
• Maintain and collaborative relationship with internal & external customers. 
• Reconcile aged balances and clean-up with proper approval and back-ups 
• Assist with Month End duties to help streamline the financial close specifically related to accruals 
• Prepare A/P Cashflow for month-to-date and year-to-date 
• Assist in design, development, and implementation of new and ad hoc reports as required by the business Participate in key AP related projects 
• Other duties as assigned 

About You 

• College diploma or University degree in an accredited post-secondary institute in accounting or a related field 
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role preferably from a complex manufacturing or warehouse environment 
• Strong accounting knowledge including Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) 
• Experience with United States accounting/finance is an asset 
• Ability to respond to shifting priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Interpersonal, team and partnering skills 
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail 
• Must be proficient in MS Office including Word and Outlook with advanced skills in Excel 
• Must be able to handle sensitive information confidentially 
• Results oriented - ability to prioritize and consistently delivers on time with high degree of accuracy 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 

Pay Rate 

$35/hour
